My first attempt at making a SHMUP

This is a beta test for the shmup-dev prototype session 3. The theme of this session is 'Chain Reaction'. I apply the mechanic of action puzzle game t .....

The Shmup Show starts out with a bang, and a whimper.

Arena shooter, using dual analogues for controls.

Also, many traces of the anime "Akira" are abound in some of the game's backgrounds.

My favourite stage on this bizarre vertical shmup by Jaleco, AKA "The Game Paradise". The girl is called Misato, and the song is called "Lovely Star". .....

Small download, roughly 6MB. It's easy to install, just extract the files to a directory of your choice.

World 1 is very easy like the first stage of most shmups. The overall difficulty of this game isn't very high, but it should definitely not be underes .....

+I do have a autofire set, as of the last 2 years I've worn out 2 PS2 controls from mashing for shmups, so from now on I set an autofire if possible.
